The following table describes the main data categories used by the app. The app is designed primarily for local audio conversion and does not upload your selected audio files to our server for conversion.

3. How We Use Data
- To identify audio files, convert formats, export results, and preview playback.
- To manage converting, failed, and completed tasks.
- To remember app settings such as save folder, default format, theme, and language.
- To provide sign-in, membership checks, purchase restoration, and file selection limits.
- To process optional link parsing requests when you enter a third-party music link.
- To diagnose failures that you report or that appear in local task logs.
We do not use your data for targeted advertising, user profiling, or selling personal information.
4. Local Processing and File Access
Local audio conversion is performed on your device. The app reads files only when you select them or grant access through Android file permissions or the system file picker. Exported audio is saved to the app folder or a folder you choose.
Clearing app data may remove local task records and settings, but may not delete audio files already exported to external storage.
5. Cookies and Third-Party Platforms
If you manually enter cookies for a supported platform, they are stored locally on your device and used only for requests to that platform. When you parse a third-party link, the link and related cookies may be sent to that platform to request metadata, lyrics, covers, preview audio, or download URLs.
Third-party platforms process data according to their own privacy policies and terms. Audio Format Factory does not control those platforms and does not promise to bypass their restrictions.
6. Third-Party Services
- Google Sign-In: used for optional account sign-in. Google handles authentication credentials.
- Google Play Billing: used for subscriptions, one-time purchases, order status, and purchase restoration.
- Email verification service: used when you choose email sign-in or registration with a verification code.
- Third-party music platforms: contacted only when you initiate optional link parsing or platform-related requests.
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may disclose limited data only when required by applicable law, valid legal process, or to protect the app and users from abuse.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
- Local task records and settings remain on your device until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall the app.
- Cookies you enter remain on your device until you clear or replace them.
- Account and purchase entitlement records may be retained as long as needed to provide membership, restore purchases, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
- Selected audio files are not retained by our server for conversion.

8. Security
We use Android platform storage and permission mechanisms to protect local data. Network requests use HTTPS where supported by the destination service. No software can guarantee absolute security, so please keep your device, account, cookies, and exported files secure.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain personal data processing. You may also request information about how your data is handled.

10. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required in your region. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
11. Android Permissions
The app may request only permissions needed for its features, such as internet access for optional network requests and audio/file access for files you choose to convert. It does not request camera, microphone, contacts, SMS, or location permissions for the core conversion workflow.
12. Legal Use Notice
The app is intended for local files and content you own or are authorized to access. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of conversion, parsing, downloading, exporting, and playback features complies with applicable laws and third-party platform rules.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when app features, legal requirements, or platform rules change. The updated policy will be made available in the app or on the public privacy policy page. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated policy.
